Payments & Virtual Items Policy

1) Optional purchases
Good Mates Play may offer optional purchases (for example, virtual chips/coins, boosts, or cosmetic items). Playing is possible without purchasing. Any purchase is for entertainment access within the service only.
2) Pricing transparency (NZ)
- Prices are shown before you confirm checkout, in the currency presented at the point of sale.
- If GST applies, it will be included or disclosed as required at checkout/receipt. Our GST (IRD) number: 118-742-965.
- Device/app store settings, exchange rates, and payment provider fees may affect the final amount you pay.
3) Subscriptions & recurring billing
If we offer a subscription or recurring plan, the renewal price, billing frequency, and cancellation method will be displayed before you subscribe. Unless otherwise stated in the offer, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel through the same platform used to subscribe (for example, an app store account settings page). We do not currently guarantee prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
4) Refunds, cancellations & third‑party rules
- In-app purchases via Apple/Google/other platforms: refunds are handled under that platforms policies and processes. We may not be able to issue refunds directly for those transactions.
- Direct purchases from us (if available): contact us as soon as possible with transaction details. We will assess requests case-by-case, including whether the virtual items were delivered/used.
- We may refuse a refund where fraud, misuse, or chargeback abuse is suspected.
- Nothing in this policy limits your rights under New Zealand consumer protection laws (including the Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act) where they apply.
5) Virtual items: no cash value
- Virtual chips/coins and other virtual items are not money and have no real-world value.
- They cannot be redeemed, exchanged, or cashed out for money, prizes, or anything of monetary value.
- Virtual items are licensed for use within Good Mates Play only, are not transferable, and may be modified, limited, or removed to maintain service integrity.
6) Payment issues & chargebacks
If you believe a transaction is incorrect or unauthorised, contact us promptly. Initiating a chargeback may result in temporary restriction of access while we investigate and/or until the payment dispute is resolved.
